Gyokeres is a serious target for Arsenal in the transfer market to fill the front line but so far there is no certainty even though there are a number of other names that have also been linked with Arsenal so far. Arsenal's movement is a bit slow at the moment and maybe Arteta thinks there is no need to recruit a number of players for other positions because so far the players they have are very good.
Arsenal's weakness lies only in the front line position because they do not have a pure striker who can improve the quality of scoring goals. Gyokeres' name is quite associated because he is a player who is very much liked by Arteta but if they don't move faster then I doubt Arsenal will succeed in bringing him in.
In fact, after so many news that said Gyokeres linked to the Arsenal. However, not official bid came from Arsenal means Gyokeres is not their target.
Besides Arsenal Gyokeres too have linked to some of Premier league clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United but the most problem is Sporting only want to sell Gyokeres at his release clause price 80 million which is in my opinion this is overprice and i am sure Arsenal won't dare to buy Gyokeres on that price so i think this transfer will never happen
Gyokeres made it clear to Ruben Amorim that he will not be joining Manchester United, and Liverpool has eyes for another striker, which has given Arsenal the advantage to sign Gyokeres from Sporting CP this season, but since Sporting CP is asking for 80 million as the transfer fee for Gyokeres and Arsenal isn't willing to meet up with the transfer fee of Gyokeres, I doubt if a transfer that will see Gyokeres move to Arsenal from Sporting CP will happen this season unless Sporting CP reduces Gyokeres's transfer fee before Arsenal will be able to sign Gyokeres this season.
