What you said is true, the player is so eager to play at top level and if Monaco had not come for him I believe he would have accepted to play for any club in any of the top division in Europe no matter how small the club is, let it be that he has returned to football. For me he accepted this offer without hesitation because that's the only club that has shown interest in him and I feel he can still push himself to be at his best. Switching of club at the end of next season for someone who just came back to football after a long period of time off the field of play and I believe he'll have to show that loyalty to Monaco by spending the 2 years contract just to say how happy he is for them to give him another chance because we never know if other clubs are looking for a way to get him, that's the truth.
Monaco is about the best emergency destination that Pogba could find. The top clubs didn't want him anymore and he is probably happy about playing in France for a relatively good team.
Monaco qualified for the CL, which I think is a big bonus for Poga since he must have been thinking about either ending his career or playing for a team worse than Monaco. Now he gets a valuable chance to restore his reputation and his standing in football. If after the doping scandal his career had ended, it would have been dramatic because when he was in good shape and played his best, Pogba was an amazing midfielder. I never liked his pace though, but he had many qualities that make a great midfielder. Tremendous passing, strong ball control and hard to steal it from him, and he was calm and had an eye for his teammates like 360°.
