In the Champions League I don't think it makes any difference what their squad will be, nothing depends on it. The Champions League is about endurance and the ability to withstand any opponent, and for that you just need a balanced team with players who work well together and lastly to work on tactics. You can put together a star-studded squad, but it's unlikely to achieve greatness in the Champions League
I agree with that, because in this Champions League we have seen quite a lot of big clubs who began to lose their consistency when faced with a fairly busy match schedule. So that the endurance and balance of the squad is the main key to being able to maintain the consistency of their appearance in every match, both in the domestic league and the champions league.
We will see how it goes.
Sometimes it's not all about a “proper striker” but a balance within the team. Salah and company did a pretty impressive job, and they played as a single unit. If the big problem was the lack of a proper striker, then they wouldn't have registered success in the English Premier League as well.
In the UCL, they beat up most of the big teams, only to get thrown out by PSG. That's how tricky the UCl gets at times. You will have your team firing from all cylinders only to get thrown out by an underestimated team. Another classic example is Barcelona's journey in the UCL tournament.
Liverpool do need a pure striker as a scoring machine for them, but it is very unfortunate that the presence of Diogo Jota and Nunez is not able to answer that need. but fortunately on the other hand Arne slot has a pretty good strategy by making Salah a goal scoring machine for the Reds so that we see more goals created from the Reds' right wing. but even though Liverpool's front line problem has been resolved, I think they still need one more striker who plays as a pure striker to further sharpen Liverpool's front line, especially at this time it is rumored that Jota and Nunez will leave Liverpool.
