Of course, Quansah still has the possibility to play at his top performance with another club. Maybe with Leverkusen, he can get that development. Liverpool has bought Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen for a high price, but in return, they also let their player go to Leverkusen.
There will be no loss if the season goes well for them.
Seriously I didn’t like this deal that much except if Liverpool has a good replacement at hand. Quansah was a regular last season when Arnold was mostly on the bench and I was expecting him to actually be at the club even as Arnold has left because I wasn’t expecting only Frimpong to be there, I expect both to challenge each other. I know many will be looking towards Joe Gomes to be the second choice right back but I would prefer Quansah.
Nonetheless Liverpool still did a very good deal here, €30m for Quansah was a great one for Liverpool as this is in replacement of money spent on Frimpong and to top the deal they have a buy back clause which can be activated before 2030. I think it will help Quansah grow with more playing time. For Leverkusen it is a very good signing because they have someone who can doubles as a center back or right back too. With TAH and Frimpong having left they seriously need defensive reinforcements
