I think the coach likes his style of play that's why he has decided to still have in the club despite his poor performances since his arrival in Chelsea, since Delap is available now it's a good way to motivate Jackson to work harder to keep himself relevant in the club because seeing a player that will be in competition with him he wouldn't wait for anyone to remind him to improve in his performance since he will not like to become a bench warmer in the team.
