Darwin Nunez has given the green light to join Napoli as Conte wants a striker like him, will this happen?
Nunez is a good player but Liverpool want a lot of money for him. If Napoli is going to spend Osimhen's money in this way, it doesn't make much sense. Last season Nunez fell far short of expectations. He should have scored more goals and did more assists. Otherwise nobody will pay this kind of astronomical transfer fees. I think Napoli should move to a better striker candidate. If they want to go higher in the European cups, they should do that. If you spend so much money and you end up with a player who only scores 5-10 goals in 40 games, then he is not living up to expectations.
Yeah Nunez really fell out of expectation for last season, but then you won't blame Liverpool for that huge amount in him for sign on fee, Nunez is young and can still make a great impact to Napoli, besides he is in his prime and this the only period he can be solt out for that kind of price. Liverpool can still strike again by having to go for Osimhen in exchange for Nunez, at least that will help balance the equation for both clubs, because osimhen on hand is also on a high price and a lot of clubs are skeptical to offer him a deal because of his price, but I believe Liverpool are up to the task.
