I'm sorry what? How is this not a scam?
They're actively misleading users into spending money while not honouring their system.
If I see that on my dashboard, I would be inclined to wager that for said reward.
It did say "You will also receive your host back if you level up to any level above Platinum 4"
This statement here, is indicative that there are no requirements as it appears on his dashboard.
The way they worded it, if brought before a court, would be in the OPs favour as it is ambiguous.
This is textbook fraud.
A court huh, yeah right. It's still not a scam. By the way, 2 people I know had had hosts in the past from platinum 1. One of them (the friend I mentioned above) has this "claim your host back" bar, the other doesn't. So there is that.
"You will also receive your host back if you level up to any level above Platinum 4" can be interpreted both ways. Once would be, alternatively to wagering the 50k you can get your host back when you level up, or if you are platinum 4 and lost your host you can get it back for every level up. The 2nd interpretation obviously is the one they meant to say.
That's why the phrase uses the word
ABOVE Platinum 4. If you take the
above into consideration it's obvious what they want to say. It doesn't include leveling up to plat 4, only above, therefor it doesn't apply to players below platinum 4.
And again, I know they should have worded it better and they SHOULD update this on the site. Yet a scam is not there.
Obtaining financial advantage by deception, a.k.a. FRAUD is what occurred here.
Dude don't piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining.
I know the law, this is a textbook example where they deceived users for their own gain.
