Even if an exit-scam is their end game, I doubt they will allow the domain to lapse whenever it expires because without that they will not be able to attract visitors to the freebitcoin website. The domain is an integral part of their identity. Every time I am sure they cannot continue much longer, they are still there 'operating' their business. What is going on there?
I reckon the exit scam is still in the works. Most likely, the new owners have been setting it up since FBC BV changed hands (my best guess is this happened sometime in the spring of 2023) and they're going to let the domain lapse in October and run away with the money. It's possible there will be a mass banwave of users from the countries prohibited by the TOS before that, which would likely be the majority of FBC users because the list includes the United States, and that would give them a "legitimate" basis to keep most of the money they're going to steal.
