Dont understand what makes you laugh in my post. Choosing medical sector or being a doctor as profession to become rich is a very risky move. Not only a person has to study for many years and pay a lot of money for education, but to become rich «from being a doctor» its close to impossible imo.
Stop making it look scary, medicine is a good and honourable course, a course that is worth building your career if you have the passion for it.
As for being rich, well, that is not the direct case, it's about being successful per se, the two are dependent of the mindset, and surely, medicine will make you rich, no doubt, it has produced many millionares in this world, so the time and energy invested in it is worth it.
However, I don't see the risk you are referring to here, other than the natural risk attached to any facet of life. And I don't even expect anyone to think towards that side. Medicine paves the way for many opportunities all over the world, aside from the pay, so I don't see any risk that is not worth it here.Am also trying to figure out the risk he meant, or does he mean the capability or raising the required capital to start up a personal clinic or hospital after getting the professional medical certificate? Maybe that's the risk he is talking about. As for being rich through that course, it's possible, but the kind of financial status that an individual wants to attain is usually based on their mindset. Some medical doctors don't even have the mindset or wide dream to set up their own private hospital, they just want to he employed in a hospital either government or private, where they are paid very well and the payment they get can sustain them for all their needs.
Can you two explain please how can someone, who goes to medican university and study to be a doctor could become rich. Lets start from what is being rich. Lets start with having a million on a bank account. In my country, it takes years, probable tens years before you can become such a unique specialist that whole city only wants to be treated by you. Additionally its a non-stop study process, because medicine does not stand and develops. As you have mentioned personal clinic, it require hundred thousand or millions investment, as equipment is expensive. All those expenses, study/clinic/equipment distance doctor from being rich. To become rich in a medical field you need number of clinics, but that makes you more an investor or businessman, than a doctor.
P.S. I think you guys confuse being rich and earning a lot. Doctors, especially specialists, do earn a lot, much more than average salary. But are they rich? Have mansion? Yachts?
