Gambling came from old agies, like thousand of years, so gambling comes with superstitious even for today's way of gambling even though it's been debunked and no direct connection to it. But most of gamblers do belive something like it even with younger gamblers lol

Actually, thousands of years ago, it was believed by people from Western Europe than gambling was a way to communicate with their gods and goddesses and depending on the result of those gambling games, they person could interpret those supernatural beings were in favor of one or not. That is the most superstitious humanity has been when comes to gambling itself, because back them there was not a clear understanding of the laws of random numbers of statistics, so those ancient civilizations could only find supernatural explanations to the results of their gambling sessions.

Today people are more aware of the actual mathematical laws which rule the results of random events, like rolling a dice of tossing a coin in the air, but there will be always people (specially those living in far away towns and villages) who will continue to believe on supernatural powers influencing the results of their games and favoring them whether those beings have a good "relationship" with such person who happens to be a gambler.

Quite interesting topic, perhaps those who have been banned from casinos it has been because managed to make a deal with supernatural beings, so they always pocket a good money out the casino and get away with it.  Tongue
