It's normal to feel such excitement if you win especially if it's a huge amount. Sometimes we commit a mistake for not being prepared on what plan to follow after winning. That's why instead of enjoying the earnings, we tend to use it to play again and not realizing we lose the money due to lack of self-control. In gambling, it's important to have discipline so you can gamble with a limit on how much to risk and aware on when to quit.

I believe someone who is responsible doesn't need a plan to stop gambling when they are already in profit, because their instincts will tell them that it's now time for you to stop, only if you are a responsible gambler. If you are someone who doesn't care, then you might think of gambling a little bit more with the profits, and you might make more money with it, and that can cost you the profits you've had because gambling is risky, and the house doesn't give you a lot of chances to walk away with profits, so whatever chance you get, grab it and don't look back.

I also believe that whether a person can actually enjoy their winnings or not will totally be dependent on their gambling history, because if you had lost more money in the previous gambling sessions, you wouldn't be happy unless you've won more than you had previously lost because otherwise it would only serve as a recovery for you.

So one would only get excited if they win a huge amount, bigger than whatever they've lost so far.
