It's unfortunate that this will affect other players for giving their all to teams of such. This affected Osimhen relationship with Napoli and unfortunately Sporting management are taking the same step that would entirely end their relationship. We know these players gave their all and the club may feel they are letting off for a fee not really showing their worth but it's the terms they agreed and they should stick with it. Erling Haaland didn't receive same treatment at Dortmund though he was much younger and also on fire then.
Sadly, Sporting doesn't want to shift some ground so that the transfer deal will Arsenal will through. The club is desperate to make a high profit from the Swedish player. He was bought from Coventry City two years ago for €24m. With the offer Sporting is receiving from Arsenal, they will still make a good profit from the player's sale. Viktor Gyokeres has threatened not to return to the club next season if he is blocked from moving to a new club.
I would have advised Sporting's president, Frederico Varandas, to let Gyokeres leave now. The club might not get a better offer next season, and the striker might also not give his best to the club if he is stopped from leaving.
I hate when the management of a club are not true to their words, people like this I often don't ever want to have any business association with them.
This is actually unfortunate because the club often find a way to make such player a villain in the story. I hope he can get a good club and same as Victor Osimhen.
