I just don't understand why every young player that is above average is immediately named as "the XXX Messi". During the last 10-15 years I read about Messis from the most random places, and usually all those kids sooner or later disappear under the constant pressure they feel. Just let them grow them on their own and become their own football player, not everybody as to be a Messi.
The answer is simple, it's because Messi is seen as a football miracle. So, anyone out there who can play well at their young age, they must have a nickname that includes Messi's name. In our country, we also have one, he's Egy Maulana Vikri, nicknamed as Messi from Indonesia because of his good gameplay.
Most of them slowly fade away & then fail, this can happen because of the high expectations from public that the player can't realize. AFAIK, only 1 player has that nickname & is successful, he's Takefusa Kubo. Have you heard his name?
