When your mindset about gambling is just for entertainment, you can’t really expect to win.. just my observation. Because when I’m not serious about it, like when I treat it lightly especially in sports betting, I don’t study the games before placing bets.
While I can't really ascertain what you said to be factual, I feel the mind is sort of a master determinant on whether or not an act is done, not the possibilities of it becoming a success or failure. You could still bag a huge win even when you're only trying to gamble for entertainment purposes, and that's one of the most exciting things about luck -- You don't have to be prepared.. just show up with the right skill, and at the right time.
But when I start believing that I can actually be profitable, that’s when I do the work. I study the games before betting, and that’s when I start getting better results.
So, it's not even about your mindset now. According to your context, you're not always putting in the "work"... That has nothing to do with your mindset, that's your own personal hindrance.
