Only question left is, what is wrong with Mbappe?

Because he is their best player or at least one of the best if you disagree, and he hasn't been at club world cup. Seems like he has an issue with his stomach, and he has lost 5kg+ already, which scares me because if it is chrons disease, that could literally be dangerous enough for him to retire, seen plenty that couldn't do anything proper. I hope it's not that, and it's something less dangerous.
He was diagnosed  with Acute Gastroenteritis
Here’s a quick meaning to that
Quote
Gastroenteritis, also known as infectious diarrhea, is an inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract including the stomach and intestine. Symptoms may include diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.Fever, lack of energy, and dehydration may also occur. This typically lasts less than two weeks. Although it is not related to influenza, in the U.S it is sometimes called the "stomach flu".

So not what you think, unless it’s another thing hidden but not disclosed and hidden to media..
He’s back to training but as you can see it could take nearly two weeks to get better so he might definitely miss the first round of knockout stage of their current tournament hopefully they qualify before he can joined for the others.
The next season of UCL should be better with no excuse of getting to understand the team better so I do expect a positive result from him personally.
