In as much as Real Madrid performance wasn't good last season mainly because of injuries to first team players, it's true that we can't take away the excellent performance of Barcelona last season. In fact the team was just joy to watch as they often mesmerized majority of their opponents. I really do commend the team because they truly deserve the trophies they won last season in all ramification.
Not only are injuries a problem for Real Madrid, but the change in strategy that Ancelotti was forced to take has made some players like Bellingham or Rodrygo lose their best performance. Kylian Mbappe came in and is a center forward who is the target man in every game, he brings great strength to his team, but at the same time the performance of other players has decreased. But that is just an excuse behind a failure, even though Real Madrid is a team that has adequate strength in its squad.
Barcelona is recognized as great with their strategic approach and improved player performance. Their young players are very eager to do their job well, but unfortunately their hard work in the Champions League was thwarted by Inter. Barcelona won all the domestic titles they competed for, it was a very fantastic record for Hansi Flick in his first season. I don't know about next season, but Barcelona's squad is clearly more established in terms of experience and age of its players.
