When your mindset about gambling is just for entertainment, you can’t really expect to win.. just my observation. Because when I’m not serious about it, like when I treat it lightly especially in sports betting, I don’t study the games before placing bets. I usually end up losing more. I don’t lose big, but if you look at the record, it’s not profitable or even close to break-even.

But when I start believing that I can actually be profitable, that’s when I do the work. I study the games before betting, and that’s when I start getting better results.
I don't think that your success is due to the fact that you study the games it's purely luck gambling is beyond making research and seeing which team is better inform to win it's beyond that you're just lucky and nothing else so I don't agree with you that winning on gambling is due to research
Luck has a huge role it plays towards our winnings while we gambling and we can't definitely determine when we can be lucky to win but exerting some levels of effort by doing some necessary background work especially on sports games you can be closer to being lucky on winning regularly than another gambler who just gamble carefree.
