Yes, gambling is about entertainment or fun, but from what I understand from human nature, that they will only feel happy when they feel satisfied, and the pleasure in gambling or betting is when they get a big enough win, then they can feel happy enough. on the other hand I think that no one feels happy when they experience defeat, losing some of the money they deposit especially in a large amount. And from that, I have a basic question, is gambling really about entertainment and fun, or about seeking profit?
That's being called human. Definitely, who wouldn't want to win. But you will feel relaxed if you are using spare money and you are not in a rush for anything. You will likely enjoy the game if you are using extra funds and not from loaned money. So even if you lose, you are not agitated that someone will be after you.
