After trading Holiday and Porzingis, now Derrick White and Jaylen Brown are also in trade rumors. The Celtics prefer not to move them, but multiple teams are already showing interest in Brown, and business is business. Still, if they go through with it, the Celtics might not be the same team anymore. They could lose their title contending status, and I don’t think the Celtics management would want that. If it happens, they’ll be back in rebuilding again, all just to avoid paying a high salary.

Oh I was busy in the last 24 hours and wasn't able to check this thread but I heard about the Jrue Holiday. So now it's Porzingis that has been traded? Although I heard about this and not sure if it will be true.

So perhaps the Celtics is rebuilding and maybe the management thinks that they already made a run with this team and that will be enough for them to let go of the big contracts of his player specially Jaylen Brown. But if they do that, and with Tatum down, I don't think that they can be on the top for next season.
They might do tanking for the next draft, since there are two big contracts of brown and Tatum, with Tatum down they dont know if they will have a playoff run next season, brown is still in contract until 2028 to 2029 i don't think they will trade him, they acquired a star player from blazers name simons.

The team will never be the same again if they decide to release Brown. With Tatum possibly not playing for the whole of next season, it is Brown that will lead the Celtics. Letting him go would mean they are almost left with no one.

But because of the team's payroll consideration, it is possible to happen. There are rumors that San Antonio and Houston are interested to make a good offer for Brown. If the offer is too good to be refused, a business mindset might prevail over sentiments and fans' clamor.
