That’s still a lot, considering the world population is around 8.2 billion... so 3% would translate to about 246 million people. And with Bitcoin’s fixed total supply of 21 million (even less if you count the ones that are lost), I’d say that data actually makes sense. Sounds pretty accurate to me.
While there are some arguments that the data's accuracy is questionable. To say that there are only 3% of the total world population that owns Bitcoin. I think it's close to that if not more today.
What I think of these kinds of studies is making us proud that we're part of the very few. The few people that have been holding Bitcoin and believing on it continually.
What we can say is that, each year that passes by for sure that the number will increase.
