Dopamine is a double-edged sword. Although bad mood and low dopamine is not good for your success, we run the risk of others controlling our levels and, therefore, our behaviour. I'm not talking about drug dealers and dopamine peaks thanks to substances anymore: take for example a social network capable of increasing your dopamine levels in crucial moments, but not necessarily when it's better for you.

If you don't control your dopamine, another will, now more than ever.


Like you said dopamine is two sided and it can be a driving force to achieve positive things or it can fuel negativities...when people engage in activities like gambling, drugs and other things that might have negative effects since dopamine is a happy hormone it starts fueling the desire for them to continue...it can be channelled to doing other things that would be more beneficial, like playing intellectual games and physical exercises
