Where this Messi argument comes, not everyone will be matured enough to scroll pass. Messi was not alone in his generation. You can't mention Messi as if he only dominated and classified Ronaldo as failed.

Why talk down on Ronaldo who conquered EPL, went to Laliga, met Messi and fought him squarely, left him there and went to Italy and set records. Please be considerate in your analysis.
The reality remains that both players have been outstanding and have outclassed their peers in the game so far. Ronaldo on the other hand has played in several top teams and leagues and has failed to impress in none. The best amongst the two can only be judged by one’s personal preference and likeness for either so I am no longer arguing this after reaching this understanding.

Yes though it is about personal preference and that's okay. Some people prefer force, like Ronaldo uses it, and some people prefer elegance and delicacy and precision, which is Messi.
It's kind of sad that it has to be accepted we probably won't see two players competing for 15 years on that level. I think it's not realistic because they tremendously outclassed everyone else. Mbappe has wasted too many years playing for PSG and Haaland, I don't know, he needs to get back to his former level. I think he had some injuries, which is so early in his career and Ronaldo and Messi were blessed to not have to deal with injuries at all for all those early years in their careers.
