I have nothing against wanting to invest in altcoins.
It is important to understand that in fact many of the Altcoins that rely solely on hype, do not have a clear utility. So traders or investors only take advantage of the moment to just take profits and only hold it in the short term, so try to put at least 50% on Bitcoin in your portfolio, this is better.
But I do believe that only very few and close to little altcoins will reach new ATHs. Maybe they will just rise for a few times but ethereum or xrp may not reach their ATHs again. There are other reasons why one would want to invest in altcoins like transactions purposes but I believe if you are hoping to see a coin reach new ATHs this cycle, it will only be bitcoin.
What i see is that Bitcoin's dominance in the market is still very strong, because Bitcoin is still the best option to buy in the long term, not only as an investment asset but also intended to protect the value of assets from inflation that occurs every year, even as we know Bitcoin has always been a safe haven when the market is volatile.
