The enacted law is very common among wealthy individuals who want to protect their assets from their partners with a hidden agenda. Therefore, the Chinese government made it a common law for everyone to avoid litigation fees.
I suppose the authors of such a law want to protect their assets, whether they're getting married or filing for divorce.
Looking at the law, it's unfair for women because the men are the ones who acquired assets and manage the business and the job, so in case of divorce, the wife is left with nothing on her own, at the mercy of his ex-husband for financial support if this is not included in the law.
