It's funny that I actually placed 9th without playing a single hand, and I dont think it's fair for me to get the $10.

If he wants to leave, ok. But then he would have gone allin all of the next hands, which he didn't. This looked really off and that's why I mentioned it on the table.
Well for starters, not everybody know how to play poker efficiently. Some people will just check, raise, over bet or even does unexplainable things just based on their guts. Aside from that, playing against magician is awfully weird as well because of his unorthodox way of playing. He will over bet the pot on flop sometimes making it feel like he got thin air and just wanted to grab the pot with thin air ( happened once to me ) so its kinda frustating
I'd say in this case, its just two people playing against each other with their 'weird' playing style
