Real Madrid looked better in this match, and they seemed to be playing as a solid team. I know this is not their best performance yet, but I think they have made better progress. Xabi Alonso seems to be experimenting and this time he is trying to play with three man defense, and I think the new strategy seems to be working pretty well.
Real Madrid will face Juventus in the round of 16, and it looks like Juventus will be a tough opponent compared to their previous opponents, so it will be interesting to see whether Xabi Alonso will continue to play with 3 defenders or perhaps he will experiment again using a different strategy.
I was so happy to see a progressive change from them, honestly that group was very risky because when the match started I was awake and I saw how the table is at the beginning, but I was too confidence in Real Madrid Victory due to their lineup. It seems Xavi Alonso is getting it better now, and the earlier for him to get things right his better for him before he face reality ahead because I even consider this competition as a destruction and again work load for the players because their rival are resting and getting fit for next season.
I equally agree with you because Juventus is not an easy opponent and at this stage any slice mistake they will be eliminated. I'm not sceptical about juventus last game against PSG, they can choose to surprise us when it comes to Real Madrid. I can't say anything about this game.
