The finals this year have never been tense or much less interesting. Even before the final it was clear who would win and given the way Inter played, especially from the experience of the game with Barcelona, it was clear that the score would be far from in their favour. In the end it turned out to be so and I personally was not surprised when the score was 2-0 or even 3-0, but when the score became 5-0 - it became clear to me that we are unlikely to see such a final in the near future, but it was not in a good way, because for Inter it was incredibly painful, but absolutely deserved with such a game

It wasn’t that clear I would say, most of us expected Inter Milan to pose such a challenge that would prove over whelming for PSG. Inter Milan have got history in the UCL and given the performance they had against Barcelona, kicking the giants out of the game, I hoped they would make a difficult win for PSG but nope, not even close to that. They served PSG the league trophy on a platter, making the finals a much less interesting watch. It didn’t look like a finals but they sure hated themselves to have made this history in the UCL.

The match in the semifinals against Barcelona raised public expectations, but then Inter Milan turned into the worst team ever to play in the Champions League final. People believed in Inter Milan experience, and underestimated PSG because they had never won a trophy. PSG came from the Farmer League, and Inter Milan came from a more competitive League, this also formed the perception that many people placed Inter Milan as the more favored team.

Perhaps the final between Inter Milan versus PSG can be said to be the worst that has ever happened, from the course of the match, it looked like an elite team was facing a mediocre team. The score of 5-0 without reply strengthened this assumption, Inter Milan let PSG win the first Champions League trophy very easily.
