If the reason is political, I understand, there are people who hate UK for what they did historically, there are billions who hate Americans, there are people who hate the west and the ones who hate the east. Basically political reason is normal, we all hate someone, and if someone hates the Saudis, then they can hate Ronaldo for going there. One thing I have a beef with on this situation, is that normal people can't live and have kids with their girlfriend there, laws forbid it, but Ronaldo can. That is unfair and I do dislike that part, rest? I don't care where he plays, it's really not a big deal if you ask me.

OK.. this actually makes sense. I am not a big fan of the political system in the Saudi Arabia. But such systems exist everywhere. We have dozens of dictatorships in the world. And Saudi Arabia is not the only country where women's rights are trampled. BTW, feminists never complain about Saudi Arabia. They mostly focus their criticism on center-right political parties in democratic nations. Saudi Arabia is hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup, and they are spending a part of their oil money for the promotion of football. For now, I am happy with that.
