It's very hard to compare the voting on the Crawford vs Spence fight. Yeah, during that time, both are in their primes and it looks like a great fight in paper, but in the actual fight it's a total domination by Crawford. But this is in the welterweight division, that was Crawford's comfortable weight, although we all know that fighters move up in division if there are no more competitions in that weight class. But when Crawford went to super welterweight or 154 lbs, he almost lost his fight. And so he will have to climb to 168 lbs to fight Canelo here. It might be a big factor for him though, and we need to take this into consideration.
On the betting side, it’s safer to stick with Canelo as he definitely has the edge in terms of experience and resume. But if you're looking for more excitement and believe Crawford has what it takes to beat the champ, then he's worth backing.
either way, I don’t think this will be a one-sided fight as both guys are tough and durable, so it’ll likely go to the judges' scorecards. I personally think Crawford’s speed will be the difference, and that might be enough for him to pull off the win.
Canelo is really the safer bet here, however, the odds are not that attractive for average boxing bettors. If we will have to make good money, then we will have to stake big here so that we will be well compensated.
Hopefully it will not be a one-sided fight, and we can only dream that it could be like Canelo vs GGG wherein there was no clear edge and the judges might have get the score wrong. But it's more on Crawford to show what he had. He is the challenger, the underdog and the one going up. So if he wants this fight to be competitive, then he should bring everything in the line and not quit.
