I just read that Brentford has rejected Manchester United's second offer. The initial offer was £55 million and the second offer of £62.5 million has now been rejected. It seems that Brentford is indeed doing this to get more money. Another news is that Mbeumo is known to be interested in Spurs because of Thomas Frank. He is Mbeumo's former manager. I think Manchester United is very eager to get Mbeumo because his statistics are very good; he is only behind Moh Salah.

This is a good opportunity for Brentford to make a profit, and this chance comes once in a while. Bryan Mbeumo scored 20 goals and gave seven assists, which is uncommon for a winger. His pace and strength are an advantage to any club that would sign him. £62.5 million is a good deal for a player who was signed for around €6.5 million in 2019. The outcome of this transfer tussle between Manchester United and Tottenham will depend on the choice of the Cameroonian player. And from his comments, it seems he prefers United, but Tottenham's qualification for the Champions League might be an attraction.
