Since the only way to win in sports betting, according to those who claim to be successful is to treat it like investing, I think that idea actually makes sense. So for our fellow sports bettors here, I’d like to throw this question based on your personal understanding:
How do you turn sports betting into something like investing?
What mindset or approach do you use to treat it seriously, like you're managing a portfolio?
Basically they are referring to your mindset and approach, a typical example is with threads and comments here on the forum where most persons will always suggest you gamble for fun or risk that which you can afford to loose and so many other statements that suggest how casual you should treat gambling so as to avoid addiction and also to stay off emotional attachments to losses, know how gambling can gradually grow into addiction, they suggest all of that to gamblers.
When you make an investment, you are usually careful about and you make sure to be detailed in your approach for which you expect returns, you play by investment rules and guide your assets with all possible means, so imagine treating gambling with this kind of mindset, where you are dependent on it, your approach towards it is definitely going to be different, you will be more strategic then you were when you gamble randomly or for fun, reason been that you are now adding some commitments to it and you are now seeing it beyond fun, so everthing about you approach is definitely going to change, this is exactly whet they mean by treating gambling like investment.
