Liverpool was simply unlucky in that penalty shootout. They played against arguably the strongest PSG side ever and fought really well, but luck was on PSG’s side. Next season, i expect much more from Liverpool because they’ve brought in some serious reinforcements. As for Guardiola, he’s definitely on the right track to pull City out of the crisis, like you said i think the management trusts him, and i believe he will be successful.
Liverpool was the favourite of so many persons in that game and they were further the best side as they did played brilliantly, this is why I do not like it when a team who has the chance to win rather allows it to be dragged into the penalty shot out, if Liverpool had scored a single goal alone, it would not have gotten to that point as penalty shot out is never about how solid a team is but mostly about luck for them. I hope this season Liverpool will not take any chances with any opportunities that comes their way, Pep will only get his strategies right this time because he would have by now seen where he went wrong and where he did right and improve on them so that this season they can make it to getting better results than they did last season by the end of the season.
