I have  been studying different altcoin projects lately and noticed that while many gain attention due to hype, only a few seem to offer real-world utility. Projects like Chainlink, Solana, and even newer ones like Toncoin are building infrastructure with actual use cases.
However, with so many tokens flooding the market, it's becoming difficult to separate hype from genuine value.
I’d love to hear from experienced holders and developers in this space
What key indicators do you look for when deciding whether an altcoin project has long-term potential?
And which altcoins (aside from the usual Bitcoin and Ethereum) do you truly believe can survive the next five years based on utility and development strength?
Can you define "real world utility", and what role is that playing with the token price. Because most of the "real world" utility i have seen is just the same meta utility most smart chains have developed. Imho that has nothing to do with real world other then changing it out to "real" money.

Because when you think of any actual "real world" uses some coins could have, their prices are way too inflated compared to cost of the utility, which is the main hyped reason they are supposed to base their value in the first place. Imho it's ok to have just meta use cases, but for too long people have gotten away for misleading people about what real world actually means in their cases.

And somehow bagholders and sometimes devs those are projecting their coins or tokens future market value by comparing it to market value of some actual real world assets. that doesn't make much sense.
