What happens to your crypto if something happens to you? Have you really prepared for that?
This is something that’s been on my mind lately ,and I think it’s something many of us in the crypto space avoid talking about.
We go to great lengths to protect our private keys and seed phrases. Cold wallets, metal backups, multi-sig setups... we lock everything down so no one but us has access. That’s great for security — but what if you suddenly die or fall into a coma? Would your spouse, kids, or family be able to access your crypto?
This is something that is often not discussed much about because of what privacy entails when it comes to cryptocurrencies, this is not being brought up most times. The security of your asset is important but not as important as losing everything to an emergency of death of the owner and the family can’t access and spend the money forever. It is very disheartening especially when you have a family that will really depend on that money to survive. We know our family more than anyone does, we can always have a way for them to access our wallet and also our behind some kind of clue to access how to get the seedphrase to access the wallet. There is no use the money you’ve saved for years remains dormant forever when you’re no more and your loved ones never gets to spend them.
