How relevant is this forum to the survival of Bitcoin because thinking about it this is a good forum where everyone with an interest in Bitcoin gathers to actually learn and interact but what if something happens and the forum shuts down tomorrow suddenly, will that instill fear in the hearts of investors who are also members of this forum? I'd like everyone to answer from a sincere point of view because I believe the answer is personal. Will it be your indication that bitcoin has failed if this forum shuts down tomorrow?
No - the forum will not be closed and so far I have not found a single compelling reason to support your concerns. The bitcoin price could fluctuate if the forum suddenly closes for a very obvious reason - but as of now, I don't think bitcointalk will close.

The bitcointalk forum is a place to share information and various other things related to bitcoin and others - but bitcointalk is also subject to the law because bitcointalk is in the US jurisdiction. I suggest you read it - it can also help increase insight.

Variation
Variation from the above normal procedure may occur, for example, due to these causes:

  • Bitcointalk.org is in US jurisdiction, and is subject to US subpoenas, wiretap orders, preservation orders (which would negate the above retention rules), and similar. Furthermore, our service providers could also be subject to similar orders without our knowledge. Note that we consider PMs to require a warrant in order to be released.
  • At our sole discretion, we may voluntarily assist law enforcement worldwide. Generally we do this only when we perceive that the target user has probably committed a serious and non-victimless crime.
  • At our sole discretion, we may (noncommercially) share or extend retention on any of a specific user's userdata even without law-enforcement involvement. This is extremely rare, and done only when not doing so seems blatantly incorrect
  • While we don't intentionally set up systems to do so, data may end up laying around for longer than the above-specified retention limits accidentally. For example, a sysadmin might copy the access logs in order to analyze an ongoing DDoS attack and then forget to delete them for a while.
  • Computer security can never be guaranteed.
