We go to great lengths to protect our private keys and seed phrases. Cold wallets, metal backups, multi-sig setups... we lock everything down so no one but us has access. That’s great for security — but what if you suddenly die or fall into a coma? Would your spouse, kids, or family be able to access your crypto?

Well that’s the down side to security isn’t it now?
When security and privacy is the means to securing your hodlings from any authorized access, you’ll be damned right your family wouldn’t have access as well. Should some ill fate find you at any point without having any plans in place on how your keys could be passed on, your coin isn’t completely wasted for sure.

All lost keys which translates to lost coins always have a final function of increasing the many lost coins out there which makes the Bitcoin in circulation to be more rare and scares.
