recenty read a news that PWD engineer got caught in some shady deals and when authority went deep, they found out he had built his wealth close to 500 cr with properties in overseas mainly in thailand, london. India mein na jane kitni property family ke naam par le rakhi thi.
If small time engineer in government department can accumulate such wealth by corruption. Then one can imagine the scale of MPs reach.

Exactly. These corrupt people are the reason why middle class people face a really hard time to buy their dream homes.
They are inflating flat/land prices very much and have made it near impossible for us to buy a property.
The irony is, we are forced to pay tax which is used by these corrupt politicians to fund their gundagiri.
