Recently, I watched a video on youtube about a sports betting scam and wanted to share what I learned. I found this technique simple, and it surprised me how people may fall victim to maths. This is called a reverse pyramid scam, well, it looks legit, but it’s all just a numbers trick.
You actually have a good point here. It's actually really a numbers game and it kinda preys on people's desire for that easy win.
I've come across a couple of variations of this trick not just in horse racing but in football too like you said. The only actual guaranteed tip in betting is that if someone's selling you a sure thing they're actually selling you a lie. The real money in this kinda game if there is any comes from deep knowledge, careful analysis and a decent  amount of luck and  never from a stranger promising you the moon for a grand. The key here is that most gamblers easily fall for hype.
