Ollie Watkins has been spotted in MU's shortlist. I do like him, a hard worker, PL proven, and has relatively cheap wage(£130,000). He's a competent striker, and better than wasted a lot of money to sign unproven PL striker such as Gyokeres or Osimhen.
He created 18 goals combined with 8 assists last season. enough to call him multiple times better than Hojlund.

The problem is that MU must get rid Hojlund out of the club first before they can send a bid for Ollie. I don't also think they may accept Ollie's age, which is 29 years old.

But thing may different if Villa give him a pretty good price.

It is already known that Aston Villa are interested in selling Watkins, as they need money. Besides Manchester United showing interest in him, Arsenal are also preparing to make an offer, so this does not guarantee that he will move to Manchester United. It is good that Manchester United have become more active, as this could strengthen the team and means that Amorim will actually get some funding. This could have a positive impact on the team if Amorim manages to bring in a few good attacking players. Hojlund might just end up on the bench if stronger players arrive, and at the same time Manchester could put him up for sale, but I have not heard anything about that so far.
