I see many videos on youtube where they tell you to get residency visa in countries that are unlikely to be involved in a world war 3.

Is it really enough to have a residency visa? I think the country you are a citizen in can still force you to come back to join the war if they want to.

I am not aware that it’s possible to bring you back if you are already out of your country in times of war, only if you are a fugitive seeking sanctuary. Still, it’s a matter of war, you are free to flee, you can also seek asylum, and you cannot be force to participate in a war if you are out of the country.
People flee during times of war, and those who remain are typically those capable of fighting wars. It’s inhumane to ask old people or people who are not capable or cannot participate in the war because of their beliefs.
