Obviously there are exceptions to this rule. People have beat the casino. I’ve seen it happen. There are plenty of people who won giant jackpots. However, that doesn’t mean it is possible for everyone. A lot of people have to lose to the casino for one person to win. Don’t fool yourself into thinking you will be the one.
I think when we are talking about beating the casino in this context it means being profitable in the long run... it's possible to win out of luck one or two times, you witnessed people hitting the jackpot, this is very normal but It rarely happens...The problem with this is that you can't win constantly if you are a regular player, the people you witnessed winning huge amounts are bound to lose more than that if they continue gambling that's just how the game works
Based on the example that OG has given in respect to those that won huge jackpots, I think they succeeded in beating the casino but if they don't go back to spend the money on the casino, that's when they truly beat the casino but if they spend the money in gambling again, that's meaningless. Winning jackpots doesn't happen regularly, if a gambler is luck to win a jackpot and it surpasses all the money he has spent in gambling, that's when we can say the person has beat the casino.
It should be and in a way it means you have beaten the casino, but most of those who win jackpots are gamblers who I think find it hard not to go back to the casino and even if they take a break to enjoy their jackpot win, they will definitely come back in the hope of winning it again. Since jackpot wins are hard to come by and only happen once in a lifetime by luck, and with the high expectation of winning it again in the long run, it can potentially lead to losses that can exceed the jackpot won which is actually the result of previous losses and most don't realize it. So when you do hit the jackpot, it is better not to go back because that is the real win.
