Victor Osimehn still has just under one year remaining on his contract with Napoli, once the contract terminates he can now leave as a free agent. He is a full time number 9, he cant be sitting on the bench with other players when he can give you 30 to 4o goals in one season, across all competition. If we want to compare Osimehn or Lukaku I will pick Osimehn any day. Speaking of learning a lesson from the contract, a player may never know a club has bad plans for them unless they sign that contract.
Osimhen is a very talented player. And he proved it by staying at Napoli. In the 2022-23 season, Napoli became Serie A champions. He scored 26 goals in this season. Osimhen played the most important role in Napoli's title win. But Napoli management does not give enough respect to Osimhen.
Osimhen cannot be compared to Lukaku. Osimhen is a regular scorer. If he is with a stable squad, Osimhen can easily score 20+ goals. But we do not see so many goals from Lukaku.
Napoli is strengthening their squad this season. I would be happy if Napoli management solved the problem with Osimhen. Without a doubt, Napoli's attack would be stronger if such a regular scorer was in Napoli's squad.
