Fast-forward to few days ago, I opened coinmarketcap as usual, and Goplus opened up saying phishing attempt in play, I was like, hold on, what's going on here? I doubted that anything could go wrong with CMC.

Anything can go wrong with these platforms because they were being built by someone and there is likely an hack attempt or some kind of compromising of it, so don’t be surprised when you see one. No platform is perfect and as strong as they may have been in existence, it doesn’t mean they can’t fail or have issues at some point that cannot be resolved immediately. So next time, when you see something like that, do confirm it before coming to conclusion on your own that the system in the platform is perfect and can’t be altered or fails.

If you are into airdrop and running wallets on your computer I think it won't hurt to have this Goplus in your browser add-on, I works extremely well.

Doing some digs further I saw why Binance Labs and OKX capital are also big investors on this project.

It is better to you use a different wallet for your airdrop activities and not allow any of those tokens to have access to your main wallet because you’re exposing it to many external attacks. Airdrops projects are large community and your wallet is always out there open to millions of people in which there is always someone out there figuring out how to scam their next victims through their address provided publicly. There are many ways this scam attempt works, just make sure you’re up to date with them if you’re an active person in the airdrop space, it’ll save you from falling for many scam attempt on your wallet.
