Whenever I say this, people feel I'm being too harsh or just hating. If a manager doesn't know where his team is lacking and then he is not a top manager. Arsenal have been playing without a striker for at least 3 seasons. That should have been their priority this season, but instead, they're more focused on a backup goalkeeper and defenders. I'm not saying these positions are not important, but they need a striker more than any other thing.
Both G. Jesus and Havertz are not good enough, even if they're fit, and right now they're barely fit.
With the kind of team that Arsenal have now, it's not difficult to get a complete team. Simply sign a top striker, a top left winger and add another CM that's good at creating chances, pressing and controlling the game, and they are good, but somehow those at the club and Arteta don't see it.
I think Arteta understands this very well. But if he believes he needs insurance for the goalkeeper, then that also needs to be done because if Raya gets injured and they are left without a keeper, like what happened with Barcelona once, that could ruin the entire season. It seems to me that Arteta does not agree with you that they have played all these seasons without forwards. They have good forwards, they just play in a system where there is no need for a single central striker. But I think Arteta definitely would not be against getting a good striker for the team. I believe they are working on that.
