Since gambling is a game of luck I we say that,The best way to gamble is to gamble for fun and not the other way round as in taking gambling as investing that's not the best way to gamble and also gamble with the money you can afford to lose.
I like your suggestion, of course gamblers should not treat gambling like an investment, a job or anything that they think can multiply their money. Gambling is a game played with full awareness of the consequences that can arise afterwards. Winning or losing is part of the game, winning is paid and losing means losing money. It's that simple, but we can't completely blame other people's gambling approach because after all someone may have considered himself a professional gambler and gambling is his specialty.
There is no doubt that alot of people gamble to make profits yes, but that shouldn't make you take gambling as investing, because even if you gamble for fun you will still make profits if your games play as predicted. Taking gambling as investing is what lead to gambling addiction.
The winnings in gambling are basically temporary, I mean of course if they don't really know where to spend their money after winning. Many gamblers win some money, whether it's a little or a lot on one or several games they play. They don't withdraw their winnings because they still want to play and try their luck bigger, but after some time (hours to days), all their winnings are gone because of consecutive losses. That is the most common story we often hear from a gambler who feels disappointed because his winnings can never be used properly.
