Splitting up your bitcoin into multiple wallet is good because it's for safety, so that if one wallet is comprised, you wouldn't lose all your funds. You can use hardware wallet to store big amount of bitcoin that you are saving for a long term and use hot wallet to store little amount of bitcoin for your daily/weekly/monthly spending.
Never join any airdrop from telegram group or social media
You can join telegram airdrop but use a different wallet for this and not wallet containing your funds but only for airdrops.
