Stake.com has been doing this kind of S**T for many years. I joined before but never won any of their prizes. In the end, if you don't win you just end up promoting them for free.

For me, everyone who joins should at least be given a small amount like maybe a dollar so they don't feel like they're doing it all for nothing. But of course, if they do that some people might abuse the that. You have to work about it so that it wont be abuse..

Maybe I'll only join giveaways like this again if they show the winner selection process transparently not just saying, We picked a random winner blah blah without showing any proof of how it was done.
