It is not always about people being too lazy, that issue can happen to anyone irrespective of how much careful you think you are. You should know that scamming is so sophisticated now that you will rarely know the difference between the original and the fake. Nevertheless, I understand and agree with you that if one could just put in the basic precautions such as downloading apps from the right source and being cautions of links they visit, most of these things will be reduced.
I do understand your point here since even I do this kind of lazy mistake if happened by the time when I’m already tired. I sometimes skip checking and rely on as is.
I thought I'm the only one that have this type of experience. I can come from tiredness or from the angle of over-confidence that everything is perfect only to find out very late. I lost about $100 last year to something a nob can even avoid and till date I have not forgiven myself for such a dump mistake which was to simply double check the address to see that it was the right one. I was so confident and ended up sending my crypto to the wrong address and I lost the money.
