@TheButterZone, if you want to do something, there is always a way to do it in the best possible way - even though the OP may not have such a service near him (or even in the country where he lives). I know I would try everything possible to save that data, and it would never occur to me to sell something like that, especially for such a large amount.

I was once looking for a data recovery service and one of the local ones I found offered the option for the owner to be present, but I don't know what the price of that service was. As for the big companies you mentioned, I think they always try to protect all possible processes, whether it's production or repairs.
