I am also surprised to see Juventus on a poor performance against City. Maybe, they didn't take the match seriously because they know that they will qualify to the knockout stage. Juventus played with all seriousness in the round of 16 against Madrid, but they failed to take advantage of their chances in the first half to find the back of the net. Madrid dominated the second half and made proper use of it.

It is not that Juventus were not serious against Manchester City  they were serious  but Manchester City were just in serious form that day, and luck was on their side. That always happens in football, so it’s a normal thing.and to even say the fact, despite the fact that Manchester City have lost with their current squad, Manchester City are still better than Juventus. So, I was not that surprised. Manchester City were able to score four goals, and even Juventus scored two, so the goal difference was not that much.

One thing in football is that tactics always determine the outcome. A team may perform well against top teams, but it’s very possible that when they meet teams ranked even lower, they may not be able to play effectively.Even before this tournament started, I didn’t expect Juventus to pass this stage the round of 16 knockout based on my observations from their performances last season.
I think that apart from luck that you mention Manchester City played better and was more hungry to win that game and we could see that in the way that they played and had command of the game City outplayed Juventus on all Wings
